Total energy and new hope energy cooperate to recycle plastic waste
Total energy recently announced that it has signed a commercial agreement with new hope energy. According to the agreement, new hope energy will establish an advanced recycling plant in Texas. Total energy will purchase some recycled raw materials and convert them into polymers of equivalent primary quality. The material made of waste plastic can be used to make food grade packaging.

CJ bio of Korea cooperates with NatureWorks of the United States to degradable high performance plastics
CJ bio is a subsidiary of CJ group (CJ), which is headquartered in Korea. It is also a major manufacturer of PHA polyhydroxyalkanoates. NatureWorks is the world's leading manufacturer of PLA, an advanced material. The two companies jointly signed a letter of intent (LOI) to establish a strategic alliance and announced that they were working to reach a master cooperation agreement (MCA). Both companies will utilize CJ bio's phact ® Marine biodegradable polymers and Ingeo of NatureWorks ™ Biomaterial technology to jointly develop solutions for sustainable materials. The goal of the agreement is to develop high-performance biopolymers that can replace fossil fuel based plastics, covering applications ranging from compostable food packaging and food tableware to personal care products.

PLA straws have risen, leaving only 10% of the market for paper straws. The new national standard will be implemented on June 1!
Recently, Shenzhen satellite TV reported on the transformation of the straw market since the implementation of the "plastic ban order" one year ago. When the "plastic ban order" was just implemented, paper straws were all the rage, but they were easy to soak and have poor taste. As a result, milk tea shops abandoned them one after another and chose PLA biodegradable straws. Now, less than 10% of the market may be left for paper straws.
